HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. (Oct. 3, 2016) – Christmas is coming early to Sumner County, courtesy of the Hendersonville Arts Council. On Nov. 11, the Council will hold its annual Christmas Tree Elegance fundraiser at Monthaven Mansion. The highlight of this event will be the silent auction of five gorgeous, highly stylized artificial Christmas trees, each decorated by a renowned designer. Proceeds from the auction will benefit arts programming at the Hendersonville Arts Council.

The 7-foot-tall Christmas Trees, donated by the Vickerman Company, will arrive at Monthaven Mansion on Nov. 10, and designers will begin decorating them in the morning. They will have until the afternoon to finish their work. Dignitaries will judge the trees Nov. 11, and they will be auctioned during a festive reception that evening from 6 to 9 p.m. During the reception, visitors can enjoy gourmet delights, wine and cider while listening to performances by pianist Debbie Watts along with the Hendersonville High School Select Choir.

Designers lined up for this year’s Christmas Tree Elegance include:

  • Lynn Baker – Costume, Jewelry Maker and Designer from Arizona – Theme Southwestern
  • GoGo Gourmet Celeste Davidson – Theme Mardi Gras
  • Brenda Sevigny- Carter and Designer for Rainbow Child Care – Theme Over the Rainbow
