Position Description – Responsibilities and Requirements:

The NashvilleShakespeare Festival is looking for a new team member. Extensive experiencewith QuickBooks necessary. Flexible hours but regular scheduled preferred. Sharedoffice space requires someone with patience and a sense of humor.  Appreciationof Shakespeare helpful, but not mandatory.

Primaryresponsibilities:

  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit card payments for tickets and donations
  • Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger, and payroll process including tax reports, payments, benefits, and garnishments.
  • Verify account balances and analyzes financial data and prepares financial reports, statements and projections.
  • Generate allocation updates and program reports.
  • Record in-kind donations
  • Assist with development of annual organization budget, and detailed grant-related budgets and reports.
  • Complete the quarterly 941, as well as any other federal, state, or funding source required financial documents.
  • Manage annual audit process and completion of the 990.
  • Perform end of fiscal year closing requirements.
  • Attend bi-monthly Finance Committee meetings
  • Answer phone and general inquiries
  • Additional office tasks as assigned

JOB DESCRIPTION

Marketing and Production Manager—Center for the Arts, Inc.

General Description: The Marketing and Production Manager supports the highest strategic priorities of the Center. He or she will focus on growing new audiences while retaining and deepening relationships with current audiences. Through effective communication of the mission, vision and programming activities, the Marketing and Production manager develops and executes strategies to generate all earned ticket revenues for the theatre by ways of marketing, public relations, audience development, sales (groups, telemarketing, and festival), event rentals, and graphic design. In addition,the Marketing and Production Manager will work with directors and volunteers to ensure that all aspects of productions are completed, such as overseeing technical operations including lighting, sound, set design and construction, and coordinating necessary theater maintenance.

REPORTS TO: Executive Director

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Marketing

  • Supervise the planning and implementation of all marketing, public relations, publications, and sales programs.
  • Shape public perception of the Center through execution of brand identity through print communications, publications,electronic media, media relations, public events, and physical spaces.
  • Manage annual expense budgets to run all marketing, publicity, sales and graphic design efforts and operations.
  • Cultivate an innovative working environment that enables growth in new technology and marketing practices to ensure the Center’s vitality.
  • Develop community ties and serve on committees to further develop the profile of arts within the city and state.
  • Lead initiatives to achieve goals defined in the Center’s strategic plan and further develop long-range audience development goals and strategies.
  • Increase the capabilities and revenue of the theatre rental program.
  • Collaborate with other internal departments to improve the patrons’ experience of the theater.
  • Oversee production of marketing materials for all productions.
  • Responsible for distributing, collecting, and analyzing surveys and feedback from community.
  • Manage and update Center’s website, Facebook ,twitter, snap chat, and Instagram accounts daily.

Production

  • Securing the rights to present theatrical pieces from the royalty house or publisher-agent and secure all materials needed for production in a timely manner.
  • Assist Executive Director in setting production budget and secure directors.
  • Responsible for master calendar of Center as well as room bookings through calendar software.
  • Attend all auditions, read-throughs, and important rehearsals to ensure Center’s policy are explained and enforced.
  • Work with directors to set production calendar.
  • Produce Annual Season Reveal Event.
  • Run box office when needed.

The successful candidate will have experience in marketing, communications or a related field. Theater and graphic design experience recommended.  He or she will have proven initiative and will be a goal-oriented innovative thinker. The ideal candidate will be flexible with the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and will be able to work successfully under pressure and meet deadlines and goals.

COMPENSATION

Full-time position.  Compensation will be commensurate with experience.

REPORTS TO:      Manager of Ticket Operations

GOAL

Provides exemplary patron service assistance and services the needs of customers atTPAC and its off-site box office locations.

OBJECTIVES

  1. To provide the highest level of patron services to all TPAC customers.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Services customers by selling tickets to TPAC events & distributes all will call orders.
  2. Works night of show events handling will call and walk up sales.
  3. Answers telephone for patron information.Handles incoming and out-going calls on the general box office phone lines and the Subscriber Services ACD system.
  4. Balances individual operator codes and cash drawer daily. Opens and closes Box Offices periodically.
  5. Processes requests for information on events, mail and walk-up. Updates and delivers names and addresses to the Ticket Sales Supervisor.
  6. Periodically serves as Subscriber Services and remote Box Office relief.
  7. Handles outbound calls to Subscribers on special events and calls based on a request for information from single ticket patrons. Assists in seasonal telemarketing campaign.
  8. Assist in organizing, processing and updating ticket accounts.
  9. Assist in mailings and information tables during season roll out and mass ticket mailings.

The above listed duties are not all inclusive. This position is is expected to perform other work related duties as assigned even though they may not be considered primary duties.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Experience Required

High School diploma or general education degree (GED); one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills and Knowledge Required

  1. Knowledge of Windows 95 or above
  2. Strong verbal/written communication skills

 

  1. Knowledge of the Tessitura system is preferred
  2. Detail oriented, team player
  3. Ability to handle confidential information (i.e. credit cards)
